Its time to be part of the solution not problem

We may grumble about the state of affairs at the BC Roy Technology Hospital, but it would be relieving and useful for all of us to know that emergency services, basic medical facilities and good doctors are available within minutes from the IIT Kharagpur campus. These people charge mediocre amounts (within Rs 200/- per consultation) for their services and provide an assured and better quality of treatment than what we face at IIT Kharagpur. Moreover, the UNI-CARE insurance policy that we avail through our institute allows us to get all our medical bills reimbursed, too. So, we can actually get better medical services free of cost without having to depend on the BC Roy Technology Hospital.

In a couple of hours of searching, we were able to come up with a list of medical services available in and around Kharagpur (within walking distance of Hotel Park), the details of which are provided in above of the posts.

Important Note:

Please REFRAIN FROM GOING TO THE KHARAGPUR S.D. (sub-divisional) HOSPITAL. It is worse than the B C Roy Hospital in terms of its performance.

People (professors, staff, students) are also encouraged to provide more information about individual specialists and hospitals available in areas like Prem Bazar, DVC and Malancha and update the information provided above if incorrect/incomplete. Hopefully, this information will serve as an interim solution till things within our campus improve. Also, please share this blog as many people in Kharagpur you know.
